De Wit Consultancy has years of experience, both nationally and internationally, giving advice to companies and institutions that are confronted with the problems of addiction. Training courses will be tailored to your specific situation, in close collaboration with the client.
Advice can be given to managers and/or employees, especially in sectors with a high risk factor for problematic alcohol and/or drug use. Employees with an alcohol and/or drug problem can, on request from their employer, follow treatment sessions at DWC. For this kind of treatment plan DWC uses a three party contract.
Early detection
Overuse of alcohol and/or other substances or problematic gambling behaviour often leads to problems in employee functioning. This is often seen through tardiness, the smell of alcohol and/or a bad atmosphere in the workplace with a higher risk of mistakes or accidents. Absence from work or calling in sick is often increased.
Early detection and open communication concerning the dysfunctional behaviour is important for both the employee and the employer. It can prevent high expenditures for the company, for example, in the case of a long sick leave. If necessary, urine and/or alcohol testing will be used to support treatment.
New legislation
Since January 1st 2007 the new Arbowet (Labor law) has come into effect. Through this law employers and employees have more possibilities to work together on making new labor policies within their work sector or business. There is more room to customize policies, which leads to promising results: improvement in safety and health on the work floor. A sick employee will create a burden on the company’s budget. Since January 1st 2004 the employer is required by law to continue paying 70% of the sick employee’s salary for two years. A successful approach to decreasing absence due to illness will therefore lead to less expenditure for a company. Rates three party contract:
Three party contract €2100,- * includes:
- Contract session / treatment plan session with management and company social services
- 11 sessions with the concerned party
- End of treatment evaluation session with concerned party, management and company social services
- Evaluation session mid treatment / administration
- Written report
Travel time: €60,- per hour
Travel expenses: €0,30 per kilometer.
For consultations within the city of Amsterdam no travel expenses will be charged.
